Framed Map 8"x12 Historical Map of Italy by Janssonius-Hondius "Italia Nuouamente piu perfetta chemai per inanzi posta..." from "Atlas Novus...orbis terrarium" engraved in 1631 and printed in Amsterdam in 1638. Ornamented with a beautiful cartouche that includes she-wolf feeding Romulus and Remus, their profiles also below by the scale inset, sailing ships, Neptune with trident in one hand and other hand on a mermaid's breast, and a variety of sea monsters.
