Vintage Carboy Blue Green 5 Gallon Wine Bottle Jug Antique Glass Rare Unique This is beautiful! Very rare. There are some bubbles in the glass. I am pretty sure it is 5 gallon. Measurements are approximately: 21” tall and 10 to 11” wide. This was my grandfather's and he would have been like a 140 years old now if he was alive!! Please ask questions if you have any! I've had it in my living room since I got it from my aunt around 40 years ago! Just a little history that was shared with me by a very knowledgeable person who I am grateful to: “.. It was made by the Gayner Glass Works -- the fancy GGW is one of the marks they used - the other is a simple square-looking capital G. The spout style, a simple taper unlike the wavy shape seen in later bottles, took a cork. That form of spout was rarely used after about 1930, when caps instead of corks came into use.
