The cabinets outside dimensions are 22⅛" tall x 17" wide x 14" deep. Material is ¾" MDF, finished in real mirror black lacquer paint. All drivers are from original Klipsch Heresy series 1, cabinets are reinforced and braced internally. These cabinets are far superior to the original series 1, built with a more modern design, all corners have block backings and the motor board is set in a groove all seams are glued, screwed and brad nailed together. Paint is highly polished mirror finish. The cabinet fit is perfect. Visually stunning in person. I have been contemplating making front grills, I like them without but can add a set with white or black satin cloth for an extra $25. The total cost for the cabinets alone was $250. The frequency response will go down to 44.5Hz where the stock cabinets had a hard roll off at 60Hz. Horns were modified to mount on the front of the motor board, crossover network is a stock E Klipsch that came with the drivers. Sound is fantastic! I've been changing ugly old Heresy's into beautiful speakers for years. I only transform 1 set a year, always mirror black lacquer. This is the nicest set I've ever seen, it's unlikely you'll find another Heresy that has this finish, typically attempts to do this end up looking like black spray painted junk. Come by and hear them and feel their smooth finish. Very realistic sound, nothing honky or shrill, these are smooth and musical. I planned on keeping them but have picked up a few Martin Logan Electrostatic hybrid speakers recently and I need to sell off a few sets to over cost. Price is firm at $650.
