Description

For Sale: 1963 Gibson C-1E Classical Guitar – Family-Owned Since New $850 OBO This is a rare, vintage 1963 Gibson C-1E classical guitar, purchased new the year it was made by my father and kept in the family ever since. A unique blend of tradition and subtle amplification, the C-1E features a classical body with a factory-installed pickup, making it one of the earliest nylon-string guitars designed with live performance in mind. (I had the bridge repaired and the pickup was not reinstalled) Details: • All-original except for updated strings • Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck • Rosewood fingerboard and bridge • Adjustable ceramic saddle • Warm, articulate tone with vintage character Condition: In very good condition for its age — structurally solid with excellent playability. It has a few minor cosmetic blemishes typical of a guitar that’s been lovingly played over the past six decades, but nothing that affects its tone or performance. Includes original chipboard case. A piece of Gibson history with a direct line of provenance. Asking $850 or best reasonable offer. Serious inquiries only, please. Feel free to reach out for more photos or to set up a time to see/play it.
