Description

Gorgeous, one of a kind screen made of tiger wood and abalone inserts. Tiger Wood is akin to teak: very dense. Very heavy. Each panel weighs about 20lb, and measure 62”x22”x1.5”. Provenance is unclear: I bought it in the 90s at an antique store at Pioneer Park which has since closed. The mill work is very professional. There are 54 inserts in each panel which appear to be abalone - one is damaged. Otherwise piece is in excellent condition
