Dallas Police Department challenge coin! This beautifully designed coin has all 3 Dallas Police badges: the original and historically accurate Eagle badge, the star shaped badge worn in the 20th century and the current DPD badge officers wear today. The shiny gold badge on the right says, "NIGHT CHIEF" in such incredible detail. The Dallas skyline is at the bottom, as if protected by the large badges above. 1881 is the department's establishing year. The Jack Evans Police Headquarters building is on the back in shiny silver. The City of Dallas' seal is on the bottom. A wave edge cut decorates both sides. Additional history about this coin: it's our understanding the coin design was approved by the Dallas City Council AND the Dallas Police Department prior to production. This explains why the City of Dallas' seal is on the back of a police coin. Each DPD coin comes in a clear, plastic, round CASE....it's better than a vinyl sleeve. 1.75 inch, shiny gold and shiny silver, solid brass, metal coin with enamel colors on both sides.
