Skutt KM 714 Ceramic Kiln

Great Kiln for people just starting to get serious about ceramics or professionals who need a test kiln or want to do small batches. With the Cone Fire option it's super easy to use as just set your speed and cone temperature and walk away. It's super simple to use but yet can be programmed to have several different segments for crystalline glaze firings. This kiln is great for people who have just a small area to work with and aren't making large things. This kiln also is good for people who have large kilns but want to do not want to do a whole firing just to test a few glazes or just a small batch of cups or bowls. Max temp of cone 8 which is great for mid to low fire clay bodies. This kiln is made for oxidation glazes which are utilitarian and have amazing bright and vivid colors. If you're looking for a cone 10 kiln then electric kilns aren't for you because you need a gas kiln to get the reduction effects that only gas kilns can do. I am making space for a large gas kiln and have no use for this kiln. Elements were replaced and haven't been used since. Relays are in great working order. No issues and works great. Must pick up.
