Up for sale is this VERY RARE Oakland A's Spuds MacKenzie Day poster, dating to August 22nd, 1987! The 30-year-old poster shows Spuds Mackenzie wearing an Oakland A's hat at a baseball stadium with a frosty glass and bottle of Budweiser in front of him. This a RARE piece of Oakland A's history and is a MUST-HAVE collectible for Oakland Athletics fans, baseball collectors, and Budweiser memorabilia collectors alike! $150 OBO! The dimensions of the poster are 26" tall x 17" across. It comes mounted behind glass in a large & sturdy vintage wooden picture frame, which measures 40" tall x 24" across. At the bottom is the following text: "BUD LIGHT // Spuds Mackenzie // Party Animal & Baseball Hero // Oakland A's 'Spuds Mackenzie Day' August 22, 1987" The poster is in VERY GOOD vintage condition! Until I had it framed just a few days ago, the poster had been packaged and preserved out of light for all 30 years of its life, so the colors are extremely bold with no fading whatsoever! However, it's not totally mint conditon - as you can see if you zoom in on the photos, there are some very minor creases and a few tiny tears beginning to form on the edges. Now that it is pressed flat and mounted behind glass in a heavy duty vintage wooden frame, it will continue to be perfectly preserved in this state as long as it's kept out of direct sunlight or harsh interior light! $150 OBO! This poster is VERY RARE indeed! After many hours of researching online, I was unable to find one single other image, posting, or description for this specific poster!! Budweiser made and distributed 2 versions of this "Party Animal & Baseball Hero" poster in 1987-88: a generic teamless poster, and a team-specific / date-specific poster. There's generic and team-specific football versions of the poster as well. I believe this Oakland A's Spuds MacKenzie baseball hero poster and other team-speific posters in this design were only produced for one season (1987-88) and were never printed again after that! $150 OBO!
