Sold on amazon for $100, but this one can be bought for $50!! The Resolution Products RE524X is a universal wireless to wireless translation device. Each security system manufacturer uses their own propriety wireless signal for their RF (Radio Frequency) transmitters to communicate back to its RF receiver. This module is designed to convert RF signals from one system brand to another. Upgrading your existing panel to a different brand using existing wireless devices is now possible and all within a single module! This works with 2GIG, Honeywell, Napco, DSC and GE sensors, please make sure your house and sensors have one of those brands and the new panel you are getting or have is also one of the above brands. A lot of time alarm companies will “forget” to link your old sensors or simply cannot without a translator, now you can do it yourself with this! (Some programming knowledge or help from your alarm company over the phone may be needed). Note for vivint customers: The smart hub and sky control panel type works as honey well or 2GIG. On the inside of this device switch panel type to either of those and the sensor type to what brand of sensor you have in your house then press the configure button, start learning in the other brand of sensors, then when you are done close the front door of the translator. Easy!
