Incredible, French, 3 door, 1800s, burled wood armoire with beveled mirror, brass escutcheons and embellishments. The GOOD: Comes apart for ease of transport. Hence the term “knockdown”. Has original French bed bolts that date back to the 1870s. Removable shelf and clothing rod were added for additional storage. Can be taken out or kept as is. Beautiful cherry coloring on a burled wood veneer with decorative border. Ornate brass escutcheons and decorative elements. Sturdy yet delicate legs capped with brass feet. The BAD: Missing an escutcheon on the center, mirrored door (can be replaced, but need to find a matching one online) No keys, but not needed to open and close doors. Was assembled incorrectly and left in storage that way by previous owner for several years, so the frame slightly bent, making the doors stick. Has slowly started to go back to normal and is still a great functional piece. Overall, this piece is in beautiful condition for its age and I am selling it at this price due to the minor flaws listed above, as well as needing to make space at my home ASAP.
