Golliwogg Doll by R John Wright MIB LE 2500

In 1996, R. John Wright selected the Golliwog character as the first edition of the newly-formed R. John Wright Collector's Club. Crafted entirely of the finest imported 100% wool felt and featuring a sable mohair wig, the RJW Golliwog is approximately 11" tall and is fully-jointed for posability. Hand-painted eyes, an applied felt mouth, and embroidered stitching on the hands are among a few of his fine details. This sporty fellow is costumed in the height of Golli fashion, including felt checkered trousers, red vest with brass buttons, yellow bowtie, forest green blazer, and hand-cobbled leather shoes with custom-made brass buckles. Only 2,500 of the Golliwog dolls were released by RJW. This doll includes the original RJW box in mint condition and certificate of authenticity/registration card. It is numbered 1140/2500. Again, this doll is in mint condition and was only removed from its original RJW box for photographs.
