SHEDS FOR SALE :: 4x8 up to 12x20. Here’s the “serious info” (then I’ll lighten up a bit and share some “master shed builder secrets” with you 😂) This shed is a 6x12 lean-to with an 8 foot front wall, custom paint, transom windows in the doors, a side window, and a 24” deep workbench and shelf. The $1 price is just a placeholder. Actual price depends on the size & options you want. Message me for details Delivery & install is included. Ok… here’s the insider secret most shed builders REALLY don’t want you to know about: Want to know what kills their sheds faster than anything else? The thing that causes their sheds to start looking terrible and falling apart in as little as 3-5 years? One simple thing: WATER Rain falls from the sky. Vapor rises up from the ground. The stuff is everywhere. Here’s why it’s a problem for the sheds they build: Water causes wood to swell up. Then it dries out and becomes brittle. Repeat that cycle enough times and eventually the wood starts to warp, split, or rot. You’ve probably seen barns and sheds that look like that, right? They kinda look like they’re rotting from the ground up. Sometimes the trim gets all bendy where it should be laser-straight, and develops ragged discolored edges where moisture and time have started to seep in. Or the roof turns green and gets all wavy until the nails pop and the shingles flop loose in the wind. It’s a sad fact: All the materials 99.9% of shed builder’s use get DESTROYED by water. It happens to the wood siding. The pine trim. The plywood or OSB floor. The untreated floor joists under that. And if there’s ever a tiny roof leak because the builder tried to save a few bucks by using cheaper shingles, guess what happens? You get roof rot. Which leads to wall rot. Followed by floor rot. It doesn’t take long before the whole shed is toast. That’s if your trusses don’t start to weaken first, causing the roof to get wavy and eventually cave in. Am I being a little over the top? Not really… You should see some of the junk sheds we get to replace. Some of them are only 4 or 5 years old. So …how do we build a shed designed to last 25+ years? One that requires little to no maintenance on your part? Simple… We use better materials. Quality from the top down. Stuff that water can’t mess with. New, different materials. For example: We protect your roof with LIFETIME rated (30-40yr+) architectural shingles. The same kind that the worlds top builders now use to protect the roofs of high end homes all across America. The exterior panels we use are a whole new technology compared to plain wood siding. They’re manufactured with waxes and resins so they CAN’T absorb water. The manufacturer of these panels gives them a 50 year warranty against termite, insect, and water damage. Our floors are heavy, 3/4” thick, and WEATHERPROOF. Again, this is a newer product only found in high-end homes built by builders who are on top of things like this. The floor panels are designed not to absorb water, swell, or rot. The manufacturer gives them a limited lifetime warranty. Even the floor joists we use are hand selected for quality and strength (I choose each board at the lumber yard myself), and we only use pressure treated lumber rated to withstand 30+ years in direct contact with the ground… BUT WAIT…we don’t even let them touch the ground! We elevate the base of your shed on solid concrete blocks to allow some airflow for moisture management under there …so we can keep your base dry, and extend the lifespan of your shed even further! Maybe it’s not all sunshine and rainbows though. There’s gotta be a catch, right? Sure is. I’ll tell you what it is: If there’s a weakness, it’s our trim. It’s maintenance free, UV-stable and made from PVC. It never requires painting, and water can’t hurt it… but it’s ONLY rated for 25 years. So… ya know… that’s our weakest link. 25 year trim. Everything else should hold up even longer. I haven’t found anyone else in Illinois building sheds the way we do. It’s the reason I’m building sheds now… it all started because I wanted one for my own yard. Couldn’t find it, so I built it. Other people saw it, liked it, wanted one of their own… so I built a few more. Next thing you know, I’m a shed builder guy. Fancy title, I know. When the weather cooperates I build 8-10 a month. They usually go quick Especially once the weather warms up… people get a little shed-crazy. Anyway… Want one? Have a question or two? Drop me a comment! Shoot me a message! Let’s chat!
