Description
Professionally designed and engineered and fully permitted by the city, this deck has served us well at the Mount Bakery and Temple Bar but we are ready now to regain our southern exposure for the shop fronts and this beauty has to move. As currently constructed it is 66 ft long and approximately 10 ft wide. It's built with quality lumber including pressure treated pieces where it comes in contact with the street. The roof alternates between metal and plastic sections to give a skylight into the unit over each table. It would be a chore to move it all at once but I've spoken with a mover who could take it in two sections with a sacrifice of only a small amount in the middle so that both ends could be reinforced. This would leave you with 26 ft by 10 ft sections. Split up in this way I would be willing to sell half of it to different purchasers. Obviously, it could be purchased by another restaurant or Cafe for outdoor seating. Some work to convert could easily make it into a great workshop, chicken coop, art studio, tiny home? You name it. The structure is very sound and you could even change it to accommodate larger animals needing shelters such as goats or horses. We will sell the entire structure for $18,000 or, after splitting it into two pieces, one of each remaining unit for $10,000 each. Looking up sheds and structures for yards and gardens the prices range from the hundreds to 5 to $10,000 depending on materials, square footage, and overall quality and durability. Look these things up before you consider whether this could be for you. None of the sheds or outbuildings I saw online in this price range were anywhere near as large as these deck sections would be. The design of the structure was professionally generated and structural engineering was provided by Bourne Engineering of Bellingham. My initial research for moving the deck in two parts yielded a bid of $1,000 to move each half from its current location to a location near Whatcom Falls. That gives you an idea of around how much it might cost to move. This of course would be after the ends were severed and the price to move them could vary possibly especially depending on the distance of travel.
