Why free? Google made an exciting new update for 100% working older generation phones to drain their battery in 30 minutes without charging. This new feature, despite pissing me the f off, allows you to get the phone for free! You might be able to simply remove the latest update to fix the issue. I have not tried nor feel like trying. Besides the battery dying, the phone is 100% fine. Zero scratches on the screen, but the back has scratches in the same pattern as its phone cover. Otherwise no other issues. Fully unlocked, but to be sure to double check your carrier will work with the phone. I've included a picture with the IMEI number for you to verify for yourself.
