WEST ELM MODERN SECRETARY Part bookcase, part desk: this versatile unit has a fold-down desktop that can be used as a work or writing surface, if desired. The unit can also be used as a stand alone dining room buffet or a roomy bookshelf. There is also a bottom mounted drawer that adds discrete storage and is very deep - it holds a lot. Also, there are two internal cubby shelves for added organization needs. The remaining larger shelves provide plenty of space for books, baskets, or whatever else. If used as a desk, simply fold up the flip down workspace to hide it all away. Rich brown wood that is substantially made and extremely solid/sturdy - this is a great quality piece and not a ‘cheapie’ IKEA item. It’s in fantastic condition and has been very well cared for.
