This is an old Notebook PC I pulled out of my electronic graveyard about 2 weeks ago. It was given to me from an old warehouse factory that used it mostly for shipping and receiving in a metal fabrication company so it was mostly around welders all day in a nasty environment. These people were NOT kind to this machine at all! It had a busted screen, no battery, no hard drive, really dirty on the outside and inside and some of the keys were hit by welding arcs and had some really tiny spots on the keyboard where the hot arcs heated to the keys. I spent days cleaning this case and keys on the inside and out to the best of my ability. The case has minor scrapes on it and I couldn't get the keys to look like new, but it cleaned up nice. I've put ALOT on work into this thing. I was given another model from another business where the case was cracked and busted into multiple pieces. The only thing salvageable on it was the screen as it didn't seem to be affected like the rest if the machine. I replaced the busted screen with the screen from the other and managed to get a screen. At this point it's been cleaned and got a display on it. Next I maxed out the RAM by adding 2 × 2GB sticks of ram to give it 4 gigs. I was also able to salvage the hard drive from the busted up piece and got it installed and got the hard drive working! I had a charger for it since I had no battery on either one so I was able to plug it in and install windows to it. It's a 32 bit processor so the latest version of Windows I was able to install was windows 10 pro. Once installed I found windows 10 compatible drivers for all the drivers on the machine. Once the drivers were installed I ran all the updates and got it configured and up to date. I also installed Microsoft Office Pro 2021 which is the latest version of office and updates ran for it. So what started as a laptop with nothing and dirty as can be turned into a fully functional laptop all the way with windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2021 both completely activated and genuine versions with all updates ran. The only thing missing was the battery so I went ahead and ordered a new battery for it to make it a complete working laptop. I installed the battery and it now holds a good chsrge. For an old computer this thing is actually really fast! Windows 10 Pro normally runs right at $199.99 while Office 2021 Pro Plus runs at $429.99. That's $630 before taxes. I'm only asking 150. It may not look the greatest for the environment it was in, but it's cleaned up really good and runs great! This is perfect for someone in school or college looking for a cheaper alternative than having to get a new laptop.
