Mf'd 1996, final year for the exciting Alvarez lines of solid body Korea-imports (Dana, Scoop, Dana II, Villain, Regulator, others). -Solid alder body, not laminate or plywood, I believe it's one solid piece of alder. -Hardtail bridge design -Tri-Force 3× humbucking pick-up which sizzles with a bit of excessive "hot-ness," lol, but is super cool and definitely something different, more than many can say. -Solid one piece maple neck - Thin neck profile, fast! -EMG/Alvarez/Dana pick-ups -Lightweight Only issue is that the frets in the cowboy region have some pitting, in sure they'll need help in the near-ish future depending on how you play and what you want. The frets were like this when Guitar Center told me they were great and shipped it to me(: (they're not great, they have some wear) -electronics are perfect, no BS, crackles, popping or buzzing In 1990, Alvarez Guitars, known then and today as one of the finest acoustic guitar makers, did everything they possibly could to scoop a bit of market share in the solid body import electric guitar world, including bringing aboard young Luther & designer Dana Sutcliffe, among others. Ultimately, they failed. But they made some freaking awesome and terribly underappreciated Korean made solid bodies, like the one I am selling here. Alvarez Dana II, the 1994-96 "AED-260 " variant on their earlier Dana I, Dana II, and ever divisive Dana (Whoops!)
