Description
"Goat and Basin" is a celebrated documentary photograph taken in Mazagon, Nepal by photographer Sean O'Neal the son of Former Tennis Player John McEnroe and Youngest Oscar Winner Tatum O’Neal (Paper Moon, 1973). She was also the first girlfriend of Michael Jackson. The photograph belongs to a raw, unedited series O'Neal captured while traveling through Nepal in 2016, a period during which the region was heavily recovering from devastating earthquakes. Rather than focusing strictly on tragedy, O'Neal's series focused on the resilience, everyday moments, and unbroken spirit of the local communities. The print utilizes an archival pigment process, a high-end digital printing method favored by galleries and museums for its exceptional color accuracy, sharp detail, and longevity (often lasting over 100 years without fading). Because it is part of a highly restricted edition of 5, it is a rare collector's item. It’s coveted as a great bathroom piece. Artist: Sean O'Neal Title: Goat and Basin Year Created: 2016 Medium: Archival Pigment Print Edition Size: Limited edition of 5 Exhibition History: The piece was featured in O'Neal's prominent solo exhibition, The Strength and the Spirit, which ran at the LAM Gallery in Hollywood from June 4 to June 18, 2016.
