The first time that I brought my car here (A 2025, purchased 6 months ago) was for a diagnostic.
By the end of the day, my car hadn't been touched and I was asked if I could leave it overnight (I made the mistake of doing so). The next day I got a call confirming only one problem out of the four I came in for (again, at the end of the day) the rep let me know that parts were needed, but that they had to be ordered. As far as the other problems I was having? They basically did nothing and offered no answers because they supposedly couldn't be recreated during a test drive.
I was told that one of the other issues required a battery reset which could take several hours. Okay fine, that can be done when I come back for the other repair.
Two weeks later I got the call that the parts were in (even though I was told it would be a couple of days).
When I make the appointment to come back, I schedule the earliest possible time (7:30). I'm the first one in line at 7:10. I'm told (by the the same person who helped me the previous visit) that he'll give me a call or text when it's ready. I never get that call. Towards the end of the day (4:15), I call him myself because I know it's close to closing time. He calls me back to let me know my car is not going to be ready today (because the technician got stuck on another repair before mine) and asks if I can leave it overnight (again). This wasn't an option because I needed my car back for the next day, and was never given any indication that this would take more than a full day. Several times I was told by this person that if I brought the car back first thing in the morning, the work should be done before the end of the day. So, I asked him how another car was ahead of mine when I was literally the first customer there that morning, and he didn't have an answer.
Had I known that there was even a potential that it wasn't going to be taken care of at the time I dropped it off, I wouldn't have bothered that day. What's the point of arriving in the morning if my car was not going to be touched until late afternoon?
The person helping me was completely nonchalant and unapologetic about the fact that I've now wasted my time twice, bringing my car in to have it sit around for multiple days while they took care of other repairs ahead of mine, even though I was there first thing in the morning both times. I didn't even address the fact that despite being the first customer that morning, somehow, the person who arrived after me, got checked in and pulled onto the lot before I was.
Either way, I was not a walk-in, this was a follow-up issue, and I had already waited several weeks for parts and there simply seemed to be zero consideration of that or any sense of urgency at all to finish something that was already started.
I was more than patient with each delay, but at this point, my time is not being respected as a customer, so I definitely won't be wasting it at this location for a third time.

I had an amazing experience with South Bay Hyundai. I started my car shopping journey through email and they were so patient with me. I never felt pressured to come in until I was truly ready. It was such a refreshing experience. Omar Ahmed took care of me and my family. I was really impressed with him. He understood my needs and exceeded them. Can’t wait to come back in to see this great family.

And last but absolutely not least: Rosie at the front desk! She greeted us with such a lovely spirit and vibrant energy — a perfect reflection of the care and joy that South Bay Hyundai brings to every interaction.

From start to finish, this was a standout experience that far exceeded my expectations. I left not only with a beautiful new Hyundai but also with a full heart. I can’t recommend South Bay Hyundai enough to my friends, family, and anyone looking for a dealership that genuinely cares.
