Ludwig Vistalite with Vintage Snare

Up for sale is this RAD 2010 Ludwig Vistalite kit with 1970’s 5 x 14 vistalite snare. Rack Tom 9x13 Floor 16x16 Kick 16x22 These reissue Vistalites are built way better than the vintage ones. Double-ply acrylic and better seals on the seam prevent any cracking or separation. No extra holes or modifications were made. The kick drum is virgin (no tom mount) and has modern Ludwig kick drum spurs which I feel are way more practical than the vintage style arc legs. This kit has been well taken care of, even though it has been played. It could use a cleaning, but there are no major scratches, dings, cracks or anything that takes away from the visual or sonic clarity of these drums. The previous owner installed lights by “drumlite” which can be removed entirely or simply unplugged. I left the cables on the shells but they can be unplugged from the light strips so that you don’t have any cables dangling. Personally, I would just leave the light strips on as they are out of the way and have some nice yellowing to complement the beautiful “ginger ale” hoop inlay. The lights turn on, but some colors get mixed because the strips are old. Front kick lights don’t work that well. Which is why it’s probably best to just unplug and rock as a standard clear kit and maybe use the lights for house parties, music videos or practice. Although glitchy, the lights still look cool!
