Description

Beautiful antique Arts & Crafts decorative keepsake box dating to early 20th century. This unique box is embossed with floral metalwork applied over a wooden box, has decorative corner mounts and an oval ceramic pottery cabochon inset in the lid. The cabochon displays a beautiful mottled green glaze with red & white accents and age-appropriate crazing consistent with period Arts & Crafts pottery. This was initially an Embassy "Claro 50" cigar box and transformed into a decorative box in the Arts and Crafts tradition. This conversion appears to be old and well executed, with matching decorative elements throughout. 7" L x 5-1/4" W x 3-1/4" H Good antique condition. No structural condition issues Local pickup only in El Cajon
