2025 American Silver Eagle

Additional images

Description

The final two images show a more “typical” American Silver Eagle reverse (the eagle landing with branch) and the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA — ONE DOLLAR — FINE SILVER.” That matches the standard design for modern Silver Eagles (the new reverse introduced after 2021).     •   The colorization appears heavy / prominent on the obverse side (walking lady Liberty) with a floral / bright-color background. The reverse seems minimally altered (or not colorized) in the photo shown.    •   I don’t see (in the images) a mint mark (e.g. “W”) or a grading company holder, but the photos may not show that angle.    •   The coin still looks pretty crisp (no obvious heavy damage from what I see) — but the color overlay makes surface detail harder to judge. So it’s likely:    •   A standard 2025 American Silver Eagle (no special mint mark or privy that’s obvious from photos)    •   After-market colorization applied to the obverse more heavily than reverse    •   Likely intended as a novelty / art-piece rather than a pure numismatic “raw / unaltered” specimen ⸻ Grade / Mint mark    •   I can’t confidently assign a numeric grade (MS-60, MS-65, etc.) because the colorization (and photos) obscure fine details like hairlines, micro-scratches, surface reflectivity, etc.    •   If sent to a grading service, I’d expect it to get a “Details/Altered” or “Colored / Modified” notation rather than a straight MS grade.    •   Mint mark: without seeing a “W” or another mark, it’s likely the plain bullion version, which traditionally (for American Silver Eagles) doesn’t carry a mint mark in many years (the bullion strike is “no mint mark”). For proof versions, there’s a “W” mint mark for West Point.
