Description
The Harmony-built 612's mark of distinction was the nice block fret markers (also shared for a time by the 623), which were never again seen on a Silvertone 'natural' finished acoustic f-hole after this model. The black-lacquered f-holed 658 carried the block marker tradition through 1965, then were replaced by dots in '66. Original Vintage 1962 Silvertone 612 archtop guitar for sale with original case. I got this guitar a couple years ago as is and sounds good to my ears. There is a crack on the back on the guitar however, it doesn't affect the sound of the guitar. There is a slight lift from the neck to the body as well but can easily be glued and clamped. The guitar has a slight high action after the 9th fret because of the slight lift from the neck. I don't play this guitar as much as I used to because I have since bought other guitars so I hope it goes to someone who'll like playing it. Everything about the guitar is original and nothing has been modified or changed. Let me know if you have any other questions.
