Glasbake Queen Anne Covered Casserole, During the forties, when metal was scarce, glass ovenware became very popular. This covered, handled casserole is the most impressive, Its clean Art Deco lines and curves makes it a pleasure to look at. Handle to handle , this baking dish is about 10-1/2" long, and about 5-1/2" to the top of the long, low handle. The bowl is about 8-3/8" rim to rim, It will hold approx. 1-3/4 quarts. On the bottom it is embossed : Guaranteed Heat Resisting Glasbake. This casserole is in excellent condition. One tiny chip on the inside lid, no cracks, Both the casserole and the lid do have roughness along the mold lines at the rim which is common for this era.
