Description

Haviland & Co. H & C Limoges France 1890s Embossed Gold Gilt Porcelain Tray A tray so elegant it might have once served tea to someone with a title or set on a vanity table of a famous countess. Great antique condition consistent with its age. Defects & imperfections - please check pictures made under the bright light & magnification: - two small chips on the rim, chips were painted over, but you can find them if you look for them - light scuffs on the top & bottom Pictures are part of the description, please check them & let me know if you require additional ones. Fascinating Fun Facts: • H&C stands for Haviland & Co., a premier Limoges porcelain maker founded by American David Haviland • The red backstamp dates this piece to the late 19th century, when Haviland was booming in both Europe and the U.S. • The raised gilt decoration was likely applied by hand for the export market, possibly even sold by Tiffany Dimensions: 11.5 x 7.5 in Weight: 1 lb 4 oz Check my shop for more one-of-a-kind finds - happy to create custom bundle just for you & combine shipping!
