Pair of Ronson (the lighter company) Varaflame metal butane gas candles. Everything about them is mid-century perfection... The candles are 15 inches long. They are silver metal with a matte finish. They are incised with diamonds and starbursts. Hollywood Regency meets mid-century modern. Hello glamour! They are made of hollow metal. Those metal halves form a cover for the plastic inner tube. That inner tube can be filled with butane. There are increments on the plastic inner tube that show how much butane is necessary for 2 hours of candlelight, or 4 hours of candlelight for example. When the fuel supply was used, the candles went out. They are, in essence, giant lovely lighters that constantly burn
