Description

Used only one time for a skimo race on Mt. Hood. Climbed about 2000 vertical with the Daymakers. They performed just as advertised. I had never skinned before but these did the trick with my existing alpine setup of Line Supernatural 115 skis, Rossignol FKS 120 (pivot) bindings, and oldish Nordica alpine sole boots. The adapters are adjustable to a wide range of Boot Sole Lengths. It is currently set for 340 mm BSL. Still have original box and extra screws. I paid $360 in March 2019. The Daymaker Touring website is a wealth of information including how to videos. {url removed} Owners manual: {url removed} You will be wondering why I am selling after only a single day of use. The question is shorter than the answer: 1. I needed new boots. I elected to get an alpine/touring boot with a pin toe for tech bindings. 2. Because I got new boots and have to redrill my skis to move the bindings, I thought about upgrading my bindings to be compatible with GripWalk boot soles. 3. This led me to think that I might be shed some (a little) weight in the bindings. 4. I decided to upgrade to Salomon Shift to make full use of the new boots and reduce the weight of the system. 5. Because my boots are AT toe and the new bindings will run both AT and alpine connection, the Daymakers become superfluous. 6. Had I not needed new boots, I would have stuck with the Daymakers. In any case, this invention by Daymaker Touring is quite exceptional for the person, like me who: 1. Occasionally wants to go backcountry with their alpine rig 2. Does not want to give up the downhill exceptionalism of an alpine binding 3. Does not want to upgrade boots and bindings 4. ______________
