Darling Vintage Distressed Farmhouse Bench. Meet Shelby! This cutie was painted In a stunning antique farmhouse green chalk paint sealed In polyacrylic and wax for added protection and sheen. The story behind this piece Is like her predecessor Azalyah who was done In beautiful farmhouse blue. They both came out of Tiverton RI on a farmhouse where they were hand made 25 to 30 years ago by a gentleman and use to be located at the waters edge overlooking the water. I found them In the corner of the barn and had to have them. After painting she was distressed using a belt sander, orbital sander and hand sanding. She looks amazing with her grain and wood color coming through randomly. Even better her Imperfections are glorious and give her a throwback old worn aura which Is so captivating visually to the eye and mind. Shelby has an extra shelf below her top fir extra storage area to utilize. The elongated circular pattern you see as a cutout In the wood was made to allow your hand fit through to carry more easily. Pretty Ingenious. It's amazing when someone does something like that. For Shelby she can be used on a porch, In a breezeway, entranceway, mudroom, along any wall and In any room. She can be used Inside and outside like In a yard and garden. You can surround her with flowers, plants and home decor. Sip tea on her, read a good book, watch nature, use as extra seating and just leave her as Is that's the fun part that you get to play with her In all different ways. Especially when seasons change and holidays Too. Very multifunctional. She's a charmer that feels wholesome and a pop of color that will make your day and would look great In any genre.
