Antique chair manufactured by Doten Dunton Desk Company in Cambridge, MA, in the early 1900s. It is very sturdy and strong w its original leather back and brass nailheads 21"w (seat) (2ft arm chair width) 34 1/2"h x 17 1/2"deep weights approx. 40 lbs. The woodwork and joinery are in great condition, it has a carved back and scroll carved arms. Serpentine seat, w square tapered columnar front legs, w brass covers on feet. Maker's label on bottom, signed w impressed stylized trade mark reads Doten Dunton Desk Co., Commercial Furniture, Trade Mark, Reg . U.S. Patent Office. Could be oak or mahogany, minor chips on the front seat area.
