Florentine Italian Chess Board And Chest (Pre-1970)

An antique Italian Florentine hand-carved chest and folding chess board, purchased by the current owner in 1970. The chest and board are intact with no cracks. A key is not included. Total weight is 6 pounds, with box length at 15 inches. This is an exceptional and very rare find, one that will not be easily found elsewhere. A few Marchi boards alone without the chest and in poor condition can be found for $400 to $500. Some boards are currently on eBay. Note: the chess pieces did not come with the board, and are of no value. They are Spanish pieces from the late 1970s, however I is missing and was replaced with an odd piece pawn. If shipped, it will be secured with bubble wrap before boxing. I am open to offers.
