Description

This listing is for 2 vintage magnifying glasses. 1. 1960s Bausch and Lomb with a black Bakelite Art Deco style fluted handle and a glass lens housed in a metal frame. Measures approximately 6 1/4” long with a 2 1/2” lens diameter. Marked Bausch and Lomb USA Opt. Co. USA on its bezel. The handle is in very good condition, however the lens is missing approximately 1/2” of glass (please see picture.). 2. 1940s Sherlock Holmes style magnifying glass with metal frame and wood handle. Measures approximately 7 1/4” length with a 3 1/2” lens diameter. 1/2” imperfection on the glass (please see pictures.) Unmarked. Both magnifiers show signs of age and use.There are scratches on their metal frames and minor scratches on their lenses. Magnification power is unknown, but likely moderate. Suitable for general use, such as reading. Sold as a pair. Not sold separately. Cash only. Pickup in New Hyde Park, Nassau County, Long Island.
