Vintage Mexican Folk Art, Tonalá Pottery, Laying Down Cat Figurine, EUC. This is a handcrafted cat figurine from Tonalá, a town located in the Jalisco region that was historically the center of ceramic pottery in Mexico and continues that tradition today. Each of these pieces is made with a unique design on it, so no two are exactly alike. This one is creatively done and hand-painted in shades of gray, blue, and maroon. It is in great vintage condition with only a flea bite on the right side of the cat, as shown in the last picture. The crazing shown in photos is due to a close-up; the glaze is in great condition for its age
