POSTING FOR A FRIEND Big antique brass bed come as pictures with custom made 3/4 size mattres thats is “as new” because it was in a guest room and seldom used. Bed measurements including post 88” long x 64” wide 7 feet -11” tall, post are in 3 in and 6” diameter it is complete with original bed frame rails. Bed has the original sturdy steel frame. Don’t know exact weight but it is not light . Bed was professionally restored all brass components we’re completely polish and especially treated so it does not requiered any additional polishing to remain in its pictured condition Bed has been in he’s family for over 60 years but not restored until recently. He was told that it came from New Orleans after one of their floods. He believes it must be well in excess of 100 years old, they don’t make brass bed like that at least he’s hasn’t seen one. Bed was hand made and very old so it’s no on perfect condition but true to the picture and a stunning piece in any home bed comes with custom bed spread sheets and mattress cover.
