Battery range up to 120 miles, depending on air temperature, plus ~80 miles using the generator. The generator kicks on automatically when the battery is down to 6% charge. With the generator running, the battery will stay at 6% as long as there is gasoline in the tank. The generator is a 647cc 2-cylinder BMW engine with a 2.4 gallon capacity. The generator is not connected to the drivetrain and only serves to extend the range of the battery. A generator maintenance cycle automatically runs on a regular schedule if it has not been used in a while to keep fluids fresh and circulating. The vehicle can be charged via Level 1 (110V AC, >24 hrs to full charge), Level 2 (220V AC, ~4 hrs) or Level 3 (DC fast charge, ~25 min). High-voltage battery warranty is 8 years from in-service date, or 100,000 miles.
