At only 22 lbs, this 12’-6” beauty is 21.5” wide with a Hull weight capacity of 300 lbs. Unlike the cheap, rotationally molded mini Kayaks (that weigh a minimum of 36 lbs.!!) the Little Wing 12.5 is a beautiful, crafted piece of art; something you can take pride in owning and using. This jewel’s design received a gold recognition from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Little Wing’s beauty sets her apart from the rest. Little Wing’s smooth curves are highlighted by her visually seamless design and deep, reflective finish. The boat is finished with a state of the art linear polyurethane marine clear coat. The coaming and hatches are clear coated to show off the jet-black carbon wave. Little Wing’s unique design and construction make her the ultimate sea kayak. This beauty of a kayak provides superior performance on the ocean, bay, rivers and canals. This beautiful solo kayak is made of carbon fiber with a marine foam core. Carbon fiber is the best material for maximizing strength while minimizing weight. A high quality marine foam core, sandwiched between an inner and outer layer of carbon, allows Little Wing to be lightweight while withstanding collision impacts. The foam will crush under extreme pressure but will not break, an important property for any kayak. The foam also provides enough buoyancy to float the kayak if entirely filled with water. Little Wing is one of the few kayaks that has a true transom. The transom gives Little Wing added speed and wave maneuverability. It also aids in aft deck rescues by allowing the aft wings to be pushed farther into the water.
