Needs some minor repairs by replacing the impeller cap as shown in picture 2 under lid. Parts are readily available for order or at pet store. Will need hoses and the filtration media . (The canister filter will still operate without replacing the impeller cap . ). This could be a good purchase for anyone who owns a fluval canister filter system and needs replacement parts or just to save money from buying a new one at expensive cost. Do the research and you will see the prices on these at stores are marked way up. Would save yourself a lot of money just buying filter media and the hoses for it to do its job.
