Description
Selling a homemade pop-up truck camper inspired by go fast campers. The camper is made up of extruded aluminum bolted together using a variety of T-nuts. The sides and roof are a composite aluminum foam core panel that I purchased at a local San Diego sign store. The gas struts are 100lbs each and the roof can easily lift up 2 200w solar panels and a couple surfboards. The camper is currently fit on a 1989 4Runner, but will likely fit most Toyota trucks from 1(contact info removed) The dimensions are below: -57 1/4” from outside of the bed rails -27 1/4” tall when the top is collapsed -98” total roof length with approximately 24 1/4” cab over portion There is approximately 7 feet of standing room and the bed is large enough to fit an exped mega mat duo. Cons: - This is 100% homemade so do not expect professional results, although I did work very hard on the camper -The rooftop tent portion was sewn at home and the lower rear corners are too large and open (not a perfect CDtt fit). Additionally, the next owner should sew on a rain skirt to make the tent completely waterproof at the edges. -The hinge system on the side opening panels should be refinished with a continuous living hinge or piano hinge, which would apply the appropriate pressure on the weather seals to reduce wind noise and have used the camper on a variety of occasions
