Both items were never in rain or sun. For a short time in a covered front porch with no direct sunlight. And right now in my clean garbage. Aluminum is rust resistant, weather resistant and light. Comfortable. Slipcovers are washable. I had them in my front porch with 2 outdoor white curtains and bougainvillas for a MediterraneanGreek look and feel.
