Beautiful antique vintage Victorian Renaissance Revival parlor armchair upholstered gold velvet Amazing chair from the late 1800s most likely or maybe early 1900s done another very traditional style, both Victorian and medieval Renaissance kind of revival. Very elegant and stately, almost a throne. Great accent or side chair, but also a functional chair for reading or knitting or whatever else you may want to do. You will feel like a noble sitting in your castle or palace. Still sturdy and in good shape and functional. If you look closely in the pictures you will see that a small piece of trim on the side of the back came off. I glued it back on. For some reason it is missing stain on the edges. It looks all right but could use a little stain perhaps. The rest of the chair is in pretty good antique shape, not scratched or scuffed or coming apart. Even the seat is fairly comfortable and not worn out. Interestingly, it is built so as to tilt forward a little in the arms but it doesn't feel that way when sitting in it. It's just part of the design. It is a beautiful elegant chair and would be perfect for many styles of decor such as maximalist or eclectic or anywhere you would like a nice antique accent.
