Description
Scientific Name: Annona cherimola The Cherimoya fruit is sub-tropical and native to South America, specifically to Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru. The flesh is delicious, sweet, soft and, creamy, with a texture that is very similar to custard, thus the common folk name custard apple. It is often eaten with a spoon, much like a custard dessert. It is said that the famed American author Mark Twain called the Cherimoya "the most delicious fruit known to men".
