Description

Description: Awesome and original! This light was made in the 1930s or 1940s and is a stern light for a vessel over 65 feet and no longer manufactured. The lamp has a sturdy handle and what is believed to be a bronze or copper top. The top has not been shined so as to preserve the patina. The exterior of the lamp is primarily galvanized steel, oxidized over time. The clear heavy glass lens is held in place with original putty. Dimensions: height including handle 22 inches, height with handle folded down 17-1/4 inches, widest width 11-1/2 inches. Lamp is fabricated from brass, copper and galvanized sheet metal.
