These curtains have such a special story behind them, and honestly I’m sad to part with them but I really want them to go to someone who will appreciate their history as much as I do. I purchased them from an older woman who brought the original fabric over from Holland while escaping during the Holocaust. After she arrived in America and married her husband, she finally felt safe enough to turn the fabric into something beautiful and she made these curtains. This fabric was one of the very few things she carried with her when she fled, so they hold a lot of personal and emotional history. The curtains themselves are heavy-duty, vintage, and extremely well-made. They have weighted bottoms (little sewn-in weights that help them hang perfectly). The length on all of them is 52 inches, but the widths vary slightly. The fabric is absolutely gorgeous, timeless, meaningful, and full of character. They just don’t fit my aesthetic anymore, otherwise I would 100% keep them. I’d love for them to go to someone who truly appreciates vintage textiles, old-world craftsmanship, and pieces with real history behind them.
