Description

I'm selling a big Earl Daniels print which has a clear protective resin over it to help preserve the print. Plus it has what appears to be a painted brown wood-design boarder over the print. The frame is solid pine wood and has a metal wire on the back in-order to hang it. A lot of effort went into making this framed print which shows in the quality of the work. At the bottom of the print there is a signature: "Earl D" which from my research I found that it's from Earl Daniels - Because the way that he signs his name matches the signature on this print. The painted wood-design boarder does go over some of the signature. I'm not sure if the signature was put after the print was make. Frame measurements: Depth: 1/4" Length: 48" Height: 26" Full name: Earl I. Daniels......He was a California painter of landscapes, seascapes, coastal scenes and still- lives, was born in New York City where he worked both as a commercial artist and jazz musician. In the early 1940's he settled in Laguna Beach, California. It was here that he was very active as a painter of landscapes and seascapes. He spent many years teaching and lecturing the surrounding art community. He was a well known, and respected member of the Laguna Beach art community. Daniels' works have been exhibited nationally, and throughout California. In 1963 the late President Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy commissioned him to paint a piece for their personal collection.
