This vehicle was donated to the Nevada paralyzed veterans. It was donated because it was having transmission issues. After some diagnosis, we determined that it is leaking transmission fluid from the front pump seal, a steady stream, which will not allow it to build up any pressure in the transmission. It leaves a steady stream of tranny fluid running out if we try and drive it. If we rev it up a bunch it might move a foot, you cannot drive this home. It will need a tranny replacement or rebuild.

It’s a pretty good looking car. The tan parts were painted by the previous owner with a brush, it looks presentable, but not professional. 
If you have the ability to change out the transmission or need parts, it could be a pretty good deal. The motor seems to run well.

It is NOT Smogged and NOT sold with a smog certificate

The interior is good, it could stand a good detail, but it’s not in bad shape

The paint is decent some dings dents, and scratches here and there but overall it’s presentable

I was looking for a car, it was kind of urgent.
Car sales places (online "offers", AAA and AARP "special offers"):
of 7 "offered, priced" cars only one existed (Audi dealership on Sahara), however, a family was just there doing the paperwork, and that was totally credible.
All others: car did not exist, people calling back not even knowing what offer was the one (sales ppl fighting for the crumbs off a used car). Spam, unsolicited texts and calendar invitations, all loaded with trackers and one pixel indicators to detect which parts of their message was read (all unsolicited goes to spam, always, automatically).
That Kia place I told to take me off all their lists is still lodging auto-dialed voice mails. A place never to consider for nothing.

After that great morning experience I just drove around and by whatever chance came by that car lot.

Looked at the cars. Great ppl, no sales guys hovering near the entrance wanting the business (oh my, these lowly losers fighting for crumbs... not at this place).

Older cool guys, showing everything, being very helpful.
One stuck out: really cheap. Yes, pre-crumpled exterior, but like new interior, no UV damage, low miles: a car that went from home garage to work garage and no more.
A stick shift (manual transmission). What a find!
New clutch, great brakes, clean engine, detailed nicely.
Yes, must have had an issue when we had that snow, thx global warming :-D !

No sales pressure, all helpfulness.

Could not do a test drive on the road, they are not licensed with dealer plates and so, it is a charity lot.

I do understand, cars are as is. I never bought a new car in my life, and I do know by now a lot about used cars. That one was one of a kind.

They held the car (engine like new, all liquids new and topped correctly for hot climate, military guys :-)   ) for me, because they cannot take any payment but cash.

This is the same as buying from a Craigslist ad, but here I was sure the cars are taken care of by these cool enthusiasts.

One owner, he bought it with 25 miles on the ODO.
When I got it it showed 13.7 mpg on the display, now it is at 30.1, did never reset it: I know how to drive, and manual is always better in mileage than slipping auto (the 'auto' needs 'power' and 'brains' to shift. That has to come from somewhere: the power to shift manually comes from my breakfast, no idea where the brains come from, but shifting manually can cover way more unexpected scenarios with less rpm and no lugging than any gear box computer can do.

They seem to have a 'hobbyist' section where they have cars they sell 'as is', which don't drive but are very probably treasure troves for parts.

The 'cash only' was a little tricky, here is what I did:
instead of going to an ATM and do this for a couple of days, or writing a cheque to myself and cashing it at the bank I bought money orders, wrote them to myself, and cashed them. Cheap at Smith's, with the Smith's discount card, less than any bank fees. Bought the  MOs using the charge card, credit card does not buy MOs.

They are the best.

If you are looking for a car, go there, go maybe more often. Yes, I do know cars so I do recognize what is good, what is risky (that Volvo was risky, looking great, like new, but a Volvo.....   that super great Towncar, leather with no stains no nicks and scratches, an older lady's car, but I was looking for something more economically: I know those 8cyl, greatest, but not my budget right now.
They do not 'sell', they helped me exploring what they have as donations.

Now that I know where it is, whenever I drive by and have a quick look: cars change often.
My next car: this place will be my first look, for a week at least.

You never know, someone might just have donated another super great car.

Yes, I saw reviews: if you don't know what you are doing go to a dealership and buy a new car with all warranties and maintenance included: used cars are not for you.

If you buy used cars usually from ads, go to that place first before wasting miles, time, and interactions with ID-10ts.

I became aware of NVPVA when looking at vehicles for sale on our auction site here in Las Vegas--Motobucks.  I saw NVPVA would take donated vehicles and fix them up and then partnered with Motobucks to sell them with NO reserve.  They would fix all SORTS of things wrong, smog it, if possible, and raise funds for the organization with the auction  proceeds.  After talking to one of the owners at Motobucks a few times about NVPVA and reading their ads week after week for months, I realized that was a great way to do something good at the same time as satisfying someone's need for a vehicle.  I love vehicles,
so enjoyed just seeing what was on the auction site, even at times when I wasn't intending to buy.
The NVPVA vehicles sold at such affordable prices and private party sales in NV omit sales tax, AND they come with smog certs if possible, so deal alert there, too.  Then, by chance, I met the guy in charge of that side of the organizations fundraising, Marv.  He was knowledgeable about vehicles and after asking about his personal story and why he works with NVPVA, I was really impressed with his automotive background, experience, dedication and passion to his work with just a tiny staff of mechanics, but most of all, his unwaivering integrity.  People like that are hard to find sometimes.  So based on these encounters, I would highly recommend donating your vehicle to them so someone who needs a vehicle can get one at an affordable price that has been faithfully restored by trustworthy charitable partners.  I also highly recommend that you buy their vehicles if you are in need of one--they seem to really care about  each and every one, evidenced about how they diagnose and fix so many things sometimes starting from nothing and how everything they do is honestly and clearly stated in their ads.  I grew up in a family that loved to restore vehicles (even my Mom was involved doing the upholstery).  I can assure you, it is painstaking work, although gratifying, particularly in their case,  as it helps veterans at the same time!  I respect and appreciate what they do.
