Antique R Jeantet Morbier Longcase Grandfather Clock 1800s

Enamel face and movement original as well as the case and pendulum. Pendulum is Nautical theme. The case is decorated with Ormolu and is in running condition (clock must be level.) The bonnet can be removed for ease in moving, as well as pendulum. Monogrammed on the back in black marker from previous owner: "XMas-1977 May all of our TIME that we spend together be that of Love. Bobbie, Dick, Jennifer & Teddy Joe." Will not remove ink as it will ruin the wood.  WORKS! Chimes on the 1/2 hour and hour - clock must be level for pendulum to swing and mechanism to function properly. Small door on front can be removed to start pendulum. Comes with key for windup. NOTE Photos: There are a few age flaws such as cracking in the casing. The face has been repaired in one spot. There is a small defect in the clock face, a faint blue stain. Near the foot of the clock on both sides, there are small scratches.  No cracks in the glass windows.
