Super fine leather inside and out. Corners + bottom show almost NO WEAR. A single 1 mm shinier spot at the top edge. Strap is OUTSTANDING with no wear or roughed edges. It is faint and small but I list anything I can find. There are a few varied faint lines all around as that is part of how the leather is. Not scratches. Besides that, this 20 year old purse is amazingly superb. The edging and strap is where you see the use on these and the edge all around is beautiful. The entire bottom panel has not a single water spot (very common with leather bottoms) but the entire bottom edge is pristine! These classic MADE IN THE USA leather bags are very desirable. They do not have Cs all over them or the Coach name splashed in glitter. They are all just basic designs in glove tanned leather inside and out. They have no lining inside, with many parts of the interior the rough suede that is on the rear side of the leather is the finish. There are many finished leather areas inside as well but no cloth or fabric anywhere on this bag. As plain as they are, with no fancy lining or pattern, those who know what they are can spot them far away on a shoulder. These bags rely on their leather quality rather than flashy designs. With proper care, this leather can last a lifetime. If properly cared for, even years and years of use just makes it better, like a well worn leather jacket or briefcase that gets better in time. The leather strap is amazing for 20 years old. Thats because Coach made their purses to last in the USA. Doubled layer leather so it is finished on both sides and beyond strong.
