Vintage National Washboard Co. Glass/Zinc Washboard Michigan Eagle 777. Unpackaged weight is 2 lbs 14 ounces. Size is 24” by 13”. Good condition. Pick up 7th Ave & Indian School. The wavy glass does not feel like glass but all my searches tell me it is. It may be Zinc. Values vary by condition and clarity of stenciling: • Excellent condition (bright lettering, no cracks in glass): $80–$125 • Good condition (your example): $60–$90 • Worn or cracked examples: $30–$50 “Blue Bird” is one of the less common branded labels from National Washboard. Based on: • The use of glass rather than zinc (common 1910–1940’s • The font and eagle stencil style • The wavy cobalt glass design This washboard was almost certainly made between 1925 and 1940.
