Description

Very good condition early 1969 (serial number is only 500 off of the last 68 D-28 manufactured). All original outside of the Schaller tuners. No breaks. This is a very loud and clear example of an early 69 D-28, with all the character you would want. Incredible fingerstyle guitar, but opens up very well when played with a pick. Binding seems to all be in decent shape with only minimal play wear. Surprisingly little play wear, as this example was very much loved and kept in a case. This original pickguard has the typical lifting happening that can happen over time, but this is a very cheap repair. Some beautiful and clean wood grain on the back of this example. No loose braces etc. Schaller tuners were installed cleanly, and stay in tune very well. Intonation is on. No bridge lift. Just a clean, well cared for 60’s D-28. Comes with original black Martin hard shell case as pictured. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance. Always open to offers!
