For sale, vintage Maple wood Swaine Adeney Brigg umbrella with a plated gold collar engraved with the Royal Warrant. This is a typical and very fine British gentlemen’s umbrella, with the lower shaft and handle made of one solid piece of natural wood. Maple is an extremely elegant and very lifely wood. The umbrella is simply "very British", and is crafted entirely by hand.The canopy is made of a high-quality deep black nylon-twill fabric, especially woven for Brigg. The frame is made of tempered steel in order to withstand even the "worst case" English weather. As with all Brigg umbrellas, there is a Mother-of-Pearl button closure.
