Description
I am sadly listing my 2010 Specialized Demo 8 for sale – Medium Demo 8 Freeride Mullet – 27.5” Front Wheel, 26” Rear Wheel - 180mm front travel / 203mm rear travel. This Bike is mechanically in great condition, visually it shows its age a bit. Front Fork: Rockshox Totem Solo Air -This 180mm single crown fork is one of the stiffest single crowns ever made due to its 40mm stations. Both the air and dampener side were completely rebuilt at the beginning of last season with a full seals kit. With the solo air it is poppy and perfect for jumps. It has high and low speed compression adjustment and rebound adjustment. Rear Shock – DVO Jade Coil – This shock was purchased brand new at the beginning of last season. I have 550, 500 and 450 Lb coils that I can include with the bike. It has high and low speed compression adjustment and rebound adjustment. Front Wheel – Spank Spoon F20 27.5 with butcher tire – The Totem happens to have just enough clearance to fit a modern 27.5” front wheel and tire, allowing me to make this bike a freeride mullet. Rides like it was meant to be. Front Brakes: 223 mm gaftner wave rotor – Huge rotor for more stopping power and heat dissipation. Perfect for the creek. Single Speed Conversion with shimano tensioner – Less things to think about when flying downhill. 810mm ProTaper Carbon handle bars – All the control – less vibrations. I bought this bike in January of 2019 after I had spent an arm and a leg renting a bike to ride at mountain creek for the first time in late 2018. I had never downhill mountain biked before and I was completely hooked. I found this bike on marketplace over the winter and immediately snatched it up. It wasn’t in the best shape but it was a great base to get me started at downhill and figured it would pay for itself vs renting at the mountain. As I rode it and learned I selectively upgrade the bike to better fit my style of riding. I have been riding this bike at the creek every season since and it has been a great tool for learning. Unfortunately as I have progressed the fact that a medium frame is too small for me has become harder and harder to ignore. If the frame was a large or extra large I would keep this bike forever. My loss is your gain – Looking to pass this bike on to someone that can enjoy it as much as I have.
